Svalbard and Jan Mayen were assigned a country code but are under the full sovereignty of Norway yet not all Norwegian law applies to them.

The list of capitals below are of countries which are associated states. Niue and Cook Islands are associated with New Zealand while the others are associated with the United States.

Aland Islands are an autonomous region of Finland which were granted extensive autonomy by the Parliament of Finland.
